Million Dollar Teacher Project

Million Dollar Teacher Project was established October 2016 as a mechanism to strengthen schools in Arizona.  The work of the organization revolves around the principle that the most cost-effective and sustainable way to improve schools is to direct more resources and support directly to the teaching profession so schools have the ability to attract great talent in to every classroom.  The mission of MDTP is to elevate the teaching profession through increased recognition, compensation and support.  Our vision is to create a world where every student is taught by a highly trained, qualified, understanding and engaged teacher.

Rosie House

For nearly 23 years, Rosie’s House has filled a critical need in Phoenix among low-income families who lack the financial ability to provide their children real world skills increasingly unavailable in school or elsewhere in their economically deprived neighborhoods. Enriching arts programs are proven to contribute to the well-rounded development of young people. With the average per pupil expenditure on arts instruction in Arizona less than $1, Rosie’s House fills a void in our community and is the only 100 percent free professional music program of its kind in the state. Our mission is to eliminate barriers to high-quality music education. Through music, we support youth as they develop their full creative and personal potential.  Rosie’s House, one of the largest 100% free  afterschool music programs nationwide, teaches over 18,000 free music lessons, provides 250 free instruments, and presents 60 concerts to over 12,000 audience members annually.
